Because good health begins with being able to care for yourself in a space where you don’t have to explain who you are — and where no one judges you.
For many lesbian and same-sex attracted women, accessing mainstream healthcare can still be an uncomfortable experience — filled with inappropriate questions, assumptions about sexual orientation, or misconceptions about sexual behavior. At Be Yourself Unit, we understand how these experiences can lead some women to avoid healthcare, even when it’s truly needed. That’s why we’ve created a service that’s not only clinically safe, but also emotionally safe — a place where you can feel fully seen, fully respected, and fully yourself.
Our services include:
1) Health Check-Up Program for Lesbian
A health screening program that truly understands the sexual orientation and lived experiences of lesbian and same-sex attracted women
Healthcare for lesbian women shouldn’t be based on the same assumptions applied to women who have relationships with men — because those standards often don’t reflect your real needs or experiences.
At Be Yourself Unit, we design your check-up to suit you — without stereotypes, generalizations, or uncomfortable questions.
Your customized check-up may include:
- General physical examination, blood tests, blood sugar, cholesterol, liver and kidney function
- Cervical and breast cancer screening performed with sensitivity, respect, and a non-invasive approach
- STI screening tailored to your sexual practices and risk profile
- Recommended vaccinations, such as HPV and hepatitis B
- Mental health and relationship well-being assessments, if you’d like additional support
We won’t assume who you are, ask unnecessary questions, or make you explain yourself — because here, we know your identity is not something that needs to be justified.
2) Lesbian Sexual Problems Counseling
Because sexuality should be something you can talk about — without guilt, and without needing to explain your relationship to anyone
Many lesbian and same-sex attracted women have never had a safe space to discuss their sexuality openly — not because they’re unwilling, but because most healthcare systems have never truly listened with understanding.
At Be Yourself Unit, we’ve created that safe space — where you can talk about sex freely, without fear of judgment or needing to prove who you are.
Our counseling sessions explore deeply personal topics, including:
- Sensitivity, discomfort, dryness, or pain during sexual activity
- Insecurity around body image, sexual expression, or how you see yourself
- Differences in sexual desire within a relationship, or feeling unsettled when roles don’t align with expectations
- Emotional impact from unresolved past sexual experiences — such as feeling pressured, silenced, or unable to express your needs
Your care is led by professionals with deep expertise in lesbian relationships and sexual well-being:
- Physicians and psychologists who understand the unique dynamics of relationships between women
- A non-pathologizing, nonjudgmental approach — we don’t assume what your sex life should look like
- A safe space to reconnect with your voice, your needs, and your right to sexual fulfillment on your own terms
We don’t ask “Why are you like this?” — we ask “How can we help you understand yourself more deeply?” And we’re here to walk that journey with you.
3) Lesbian Couple Counseling
Because love alone may not always be enough — sometimes, deeper understanding brings you closer
Many lesbian couples navigate moments of emotional distance, unspoken expectations, or silent struggles that are difficult to put into words.
Sometimes… we love each other, but we no longer communicate in the way we used to.
At Be Yourself Unit, we believe your relationship isn’t a problem — it’s a bond that deserves space, understanding, and care without judgment.
Our couple counseling service supports you and your partner to:
- Open up safely about feelings that may have been buried — like insecurity, silence, or the fear of not being truly heard
- Communicate openly and respectfully, without blame or pressure to change who you are
- Navigate differences in coming out status — whether at work, within family, or in social spaces
- Explore relationship roles — caregiving, autonomy, shared responsibilities, or emotional labor
- Rebuild trust and closeness during life transitions — such as moving in together, career changes, or stepping into a more serious phase of the relationship
Your care is guided by LGBTQ+ affirming psychiatrists and psychologists with deep experience supporting lesbian couples and the unique relational dynamics they face.
We use gentle, inclusive language — never boxing you in — and help both of you truly hear each other again.
We won’t tell you what love should look like — but we’ll help you build the kind of relationship that feels right for both of you.
4) Lesbian Mental Illness Management
Because the mental health of lesbian and same-sex attracted women deserves care that reflects the reality of your life — not just a clinical diagnosis
For many women who love women, emotional challenges often don’t arise from “mental disorders,” but from the strain of living in a world that still struggles to fully embrace who you are.
Whether it’s the pressure of staying hidden, being in a relationship you can’t speak about, trying to meet society’s standards, or simply feeling like “no one truly understands” — these experiences can build up and quietly impact your mental well-being.
At Be Yourself Unit, we recognize that emotional pain for lesbian and same-sex attracted women often carries unique layers — and deserves a kind of care that is safe, affirming, and never judgmental.
We provide support for issues such as:
- Stress from hiding or disclosing your identity in family, work, or society
- The pain of keeping relationships secret or facing repeated rejection
- Loneliness or emotional isolation — even within a relationship or a social circle
- Anxiety, depression, or self-doubt related to body image, gender expression, or social expectations
- Exhaustion from constantly trying to “fit in” or feel “acceptable” in every space
Our care team includes LGBTQ+ friendly psychiatrists and psychologists with lived experience and clinical expertise in supporting women-loving-women across different ages and life stages.
- We develop flexible, personalized care plans that align with the rhythm of your life
- We use gentle, nonjudgmental language — helping you speak truths you may never have voiced before
- We’re here to listen — not to rush you toward conclusions
You don’t need to be strong all the time — because here, we see you on both the days you feel brave, and the days you just need someone to truly understand.
