The project to treat patients with congenital heart disease, specifically those with atrial septal defects, through catheterization without the need for surgery, in honor of World Heart Day 2019.

On World Heart Day 2019, Professor Pradub Sukhum , an advisor at Bangkok Heart Hospital, presided over the event “World Heart Day: BE A HEART HERO” organized by the Dusit Medical Foundation under the Royal Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana Krom Luang Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra, overseen by Bangkok Dusit Medical Services Public Company Limited (PLC) in collaboration with Bangkok Heart Hospital to launch the project for free Transcatheter ASD Closure for patients with congenital heart defects. 14 patients benefited from this initiative, which was supported by Dr. Kriengkrai Hengrussamee, Director of Bangkok Heart Hospital and as a cardiologist expert in cardiovascular procedures, providing treatment guidelines and interviewing the participating patients.
