Cardiac Catheterization and Coronary Angioplasty Laboratory Services
Coronary Angiogram (CAG)
It is used to examine the coronary arteries in detail. Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is a procedure that treats coronary artery stenosis without major surgery.
Coronary angioplasty with balloon and/or stent (PTCA & Stent)
Treatment of coronary artery stenosis without open chest surgery involves the use of a balloon to expand the narrowed area and/or inserting a stent to support the artery wall and keep it open. This method requires the expertise of a team of specialized doctors and modern equipment to increase safety and effectiveness in treatment.
Permanent pacemaker implantation
For patients with abnormally slow heart rate
Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD)
It is used in patients at risk of severe arrhythmias, which may lead to cardiac arrest.
Radiofrequency Catheter Ablation
Electrocardiogram: When an abnormal electrical conduction is detected, the doctor will send a high-frequency electrical current through the catheter, generating heat energy to destroy the abnormal conduction point, causing the heart to return to a normal rhythm.
Care of critically ill patients in the intensive care unit (ICU)
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) provides care for patients with heart disease and undergoing cardiac interventions. It provides critical care for critically ill patients with cardiovascular conditions, including acute myocardial infarction, acute heart failure, arrhythmias, and pulmonary embolism, as well as patients undergoing procedures in the cardiac catheterization unit, such as balloon angioplasty or stenting, pacemaker implantation, and ablation. Patients in this group require close monitoring by a team of specialized physicians and nurses with knowledge, expertise, and experience in cardiovascular disease. Modern medical equipment is used to effectively monitor symptoms and respond to emergencies quickly and accurately. Furthermore, holistic care is emphasized, emphasizing pain and suffering reduction to ensure patient comfort and safety throughout their stay. A team of physicians and nurses is available 24 hours a day.
Care of patients in the cardiac ward
The Cardiovascular Inpatient Ward is a rehabilitation ward that provides continuous care from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The single-room unit is equipped with patient monitors and specialized medical equipment, including defibrillators, to ensure timely patient assistance in emergencies. It also serves as a cardiac rehabilitation center, coordinating the work of a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, dietitians, pharmacists, and psychologists to collaborate with family members on planning continued home care, as well as scheduling outpatient follow-up appointments.
