Cardiac diagnosis and screening for heart disease based on individual risk factors
Coronary CT Angiography
Coronary CT Angiography is a heart examination method to examine the coronary arteries for stenosis or other abnormalities of the coronary arteries. It is also used to monitor the treatment results after coronary artery bypass surgery. People who undergo this examination will receive a contrast agent to obtain a good X-ray image.
Echocardiography
Echocardiography uses high-frequency sound waves to create a picture of your heart. Echocardiography uses sound waves to send a sound through your chest and project it onto a screen. Echocardiography measures the size of your heart based on how your heart muscle contracts through the chest wall, how your heart valves function, whether you have pericardial effusion, enlarged heart chambers, or congenital heart defects, which can cause shortness of breath or chest tightness.
Holter Monitor
Holter Monitor: In some patients who undergo an electrocardiogram and no abnormalities are found at that time, but the patient may still have symptoms that suggest a heart disorder, the doctor may recommend using a Holter Monitor. The person being examined must carry this device 24 hours a day to determine whether the person’s activities during the 24 hours have caused any changes in the electrocardiogram.
Electrocardiogram – EKG
Used to detect abnormalities in heart function, such as arrhythmias, temporary cardiac arrest, ischemia of the heart muscle, or abnormal heart enlargement.
Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI)
Ankle-Brachial Index (ABI) measures arterial stiffness to assess the risk of peripheral arterial disease.
Exercise Stress Test (EST)
Exercise Stress Test (EST) assesses cardiovascular function by measuring heart rate, blood pressure, and electrocardiogram (ECG) while walking on a treadmill with adjustable speed and incline.
Coronary artery calcification test (CT Calcium Score)
Assess the risk of coronary artery disease, especially when combined with other risk factors, to plan effective prevention.
Cardiac Autonomic Nervous System Examination with Tilt Table Test
Investigate the cause of dizziness, vertigo, or fainting to determine if it is caused by the autonomic nervous system or heart.
