Answer: An insulin pump is an external device, small and compact, that can continuously deliver insulin into the body through the skin in amounts set by the doctor based on each individual’s needs. The insulin delivery can be basal or bolus, thus it can replace all forms of insulin injections.
Question: Who is suitable to use an insulin pump??
Answer: Those who are already using insulin to treat diabetes (especially those who need to inject insulin several times a day) and are still unable to keep their blood sugar levels within normal ranges may be indicated for using an insulin pump instead of traditional syringes.
Question: Why should you use an insulin pump??
Answer: If you are tired of having to inject insulin every day and you want to increase the convenience in your life, whether it’s waking up time, meal times, or during exercise, you can do so anytime you need. Using an insulin pump can also help reduce HbA1c levels and decrease episodes of both low and high blood sugar efficiently.
Question: Can the infusion set adhere perfectly to the body for up to 3 days under hot and humid conditions??
Answer : The adhesive used in our infusion sets is designed to resist moist conditions, such as the dampness caused by taking a hot shower. However, if the device is exposed to heat and humidity for extended periods, the adhesiveness might deteriorate. It’s important to regularly check your infusion set and promptly report any damage before the 3-day usage expiry.
Question: Is it necessary to apply a clear plaster over the device to prevent usage??
Answer: We do not recommend doing that as it may increase moisture and make the adhesive of the infusion set degrade faster.
Question: I sweat a lot and have been recommended to apply a clear plaster before affixing the infusion set, is this advisable??
Answer: This method, known as “Open – Faced Sandwich,” is designed to separate your sweat from the adhesive on the infusion set. Ensure you only trim the plaster slightly before fitting the device correctly.
Question: If the skin around the infusion set becomes red and itchy, is this an allergic reaction??
Answer: Your skin may be sensitive to contaminants that are part of the adhesive. Clean the area with Preps or alcohol before each set up. If symptoms persist, try using a small piece of IV3000 or hypoallergenic tape with the set. Please immediately contact a healthcare professional if the condition doesn’t improve.
Question: Sometimes when I remove the infusion set, the insulin delivery tube or Cannula bends, is this a problem??
Answer: The insulin delivery tube is designed for user notification in case of an issue such as blockages or bending. However, even minor defects can affect insulin delivery and often lead to abnormal blood sugar readings.
Question: Why does the insulin delivery tube bend every time I remove the infusion set?
Answer: The most common cause is placing the infusion set at an inappropriate site. Watch our instructional videos on our website to make sure all steps are followed correctly. If you are relatively thin or have been injecting insulin for many years, try to rotate to a new and slightly fattier site to avoid scar tissue development.
Question: My Quickset appears Quickserter always comes out before I press the insulin release button , why is that??
Answer: Make sure you are not accidentally pressing the plunger of Quickserter against any surface, such as your palm or a table. If the issue persists, your Quickserter might be damaged and you should contact your representative immediately.

Answer: Contact for assistance immediately, available 24 hours.

Answer: You can travel. Every insulin pump comes travel-ready. Just make sure to obtain a medical certificate from your attending physician for travelling purposes.
