Check for symptoms of depression

Check for symptoms of depression. If you have more than 5 of the following symptoms and have been experiencing them for at least 2 weeks, it is urgent to see a doctor.

1. Feeling depressed, hopeless, in children and teenagers it might appear as irritability
   
   

2. Lack of interest or pleasure in activities
   
   

3. Lack of appetite or increased appetite
   
   

4. Sleeping too much or not enough
   
   

5. Restlessness or being slowed down
   
   

6. Feeling tired and weak nearly all the time
   
   

7. Feeling worthless, guilty, and self-blaming all the time
   
   

8. Reduced concentration and decision-making ability
   
   

9. Thinking about death or suicidal thoughts

“If anyone is found to have suicidal thoughts or show symptoms of depression of 5 or more of the symptoms mentioned above, and it affects daily life such as work or studies, it is advised to seek examination and help promptly”
