When the body is still healthy, most people do not pay much attention to their health, especially working-age individuals who tend to forget to take care of their own health and that of their families. Living a life in a constant rush, working hard, having little rest, and consuming unhealthy food, are all factors that can lead to various diseases as follows
1) Neuritis
Statistical data shows that neuritis is a common disease among working-age women, especially those aged between 20 – 40 years. If severe, it can lead to paralysis.
2) Gastric Ulcer due to Stress
Gastric ulcers caused by stress occur mostly due to stress, as when we are stressed, the autonomic nervous system stimulates the stomach to secrete more digestive juices than usual, causing irritation and leading to gastric ulcers.
3) Hypertension
Hypertension occurs as many office workers frequently face pressure. This disease is also a significant cause of stroke, paralysis, and kidney failure. According to the World Health Organization, it is estimated that by 2025, the number of patients with hypertension will increase to 1.56 billion.
4) Office Syndrome
Office syndrome directly affects office employees, mainly due to the behavior of working in front of computers for long periods without moving, causing muscle stiffness that can lead to inflammation. According to the Department of Health, Ministry of Public Health, “60% of working-age individuals suffer from office syndrome.”
5) Heart Disease
Heart disease often occurs in the working-age population because of hard work, lack of rest, coupled with a high-fat diet with strong flavors, and lack of exercise. These factors easily lead to heart diseases.
6) Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)
GERD is a disease often overlooked by many workers, but in reality, it is a silent threat that young adults should be mindful of. The fast-paced lifestyle of workers may limit food choices, leading many to consume spicy, greasy, fried foods or sodas inevitably. Or some people who work late and do not have time for dinner, end up eating right before bed. This behavior is indicative of a predisposition towards GERD.
7) Cystitis
Cystitis is another popular disease among working-age people. The main reasons include not going to the bathroom when needed, drinking too little water, or choosing to drink coffee instead of plain water. Such habitual behaviors can lead to serious diseases.
