Emergency vehicles are on standby, ready to provide emergency assistance by land, sea, and air. These include the Mobile ICU, Air Ambulance, Motorlance, and Hydrolance. Whether arriving by helicopter or ambulance, coordination of care begins before you get to the hospital.
Emergency physicians at BDMS MEDEVAC CENTER will communicate and review important aspects of the accidental scene or hospital. In case of trauma emergency or complicated injuries, our “Trauma Alert” protocol starts preparation in advance, as soon as a trauma call is received. All acute care team members and support units are well trained and are activated and ready on site for the quickest response. If you have a serious multi-system injury, or require resuscitation or immediate surgical intervention, you will bypass the Emergency Department and be brought directly to the Trauma Center resuscitation suite or operating room.
