Wattanosoth Cancer Hospital invites Thais to be aware, especially about cancer, during World Cancer Awareness Month 2025. It suggests ways to overcome and new treatment methods using innovation.

The cancer mortality rates have continued on rise, making it a leading cause of death worldwide. Despite an increased cancer incidence, medical advancements and cutting-edge technology play a vital role in coping with different types of cancer.

In Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2023, Bangkok Cancer Hospital, Wattanosoth organized the event Voice of Care "Voice from Care" to make everyone pay attention to breast cancer screening. This is because it is the most common type of cancer found in Thai women.

One of the top ten cancers that affects Thais is gastric or stomach cancer, which GLOBOCAN 2020 ranked as the fourth highest cancer-related deaths worldwide and the fifth highest incidence of all cancer.

For patients with cancer, the immune system tends to be lower than average. If infected with COVID-19, they are at a higher risk of developing severe symptoms, and their bodies are less capable of fighting off the COVID-19 virus. Therefore, it is highly important that all cancer patients receive the COVID-19 vaccination as soon as possible to reduce the potential risk of death that could occur.

Liver cancer is still the leading cause of all cancer-related deaths. It is the most common form of cancer in men and the third most common in women.

Create a future without cancer. The time to act is now

Cancer can affect anyone at any age, from newborns to senior citizens. Most will be diagnosed after the age of 50 years old. Childhood cancers are 10 times less likely to occur than adults.
