After the needle is removed keep the wound covered with clean plaster for at least 24 hours. If the plaster becomes wet or dirty, replace it immediately and gently dry the surrounding skin.
Do not apply creams, ointments, or any substances on the wound unless specifically recommended by your doctor or nurse.
Avoid touching, scratching, or pressing the wound area to reduce the risk of infection and irritation.
Refrain from exercising or using the arm where the needle was removed heavily during the first 1–2 days to allow proper healing.
After 24 hours, you may remove the plaster and wash the area as usual, but make sure to keep the skin clean and dry.
Check the wound daily. If you notice pain, swelling, redness, warmth, or pus, please contact the hospital or see a doctor immediately.
