Foreign nationals who wish to work, conduct business, or be employed in various occupations within the Kingdom of Thailand are required to undergo a health examination. This is because the application for a Work Permit and Non-B Visa requires a medical certificate verifying the applicant’s health condition. The certificate must be issued by a licensed physician registered with the Medical Council of Thailand, whether the doctor practices in a private or public hospital.
A medical certificate for a work permit application confirms that the foreign national is in good health, free from six prohibited diseases, not disabled, and not suffering from insanity or mental disorders.
Note: The medical certificate for a work permit health check is valid for 60 days from the date of examination.
