Bangkok Hospital Hua Hin: Services by Modern Medical Equipment

    • Magnetic resonance imaging of the brain (MRI Brain)
MRI Brain has an important role in neurological investigation. The MRI’s capabilities to clearly visualize cross-sections of the brain in different planes help the doctors to diagnose more quickly and effectively. The MRI is the investigation of choice to find pathology in the neurological systems especially, to detect tumors, congenital brain diseases, possible causes of epilepsy, dementia. It is a safe and time-saving investigation.
    • Magnetic resonance angiogram (MRA)
MRA is effectively used to screen patients who have risks of cerebral aneurysm. It can also be used to help diagnose cerebral thrombosis, infarction and hemorrhage.
    • Carotid Duplex Ultrasonogram
This is the test of carotid arteries which send a blood supply to the front part of the brain and vertebral arteries supplying the back part. With the technique of using ultrasonic waves, it shows how much of the blood flows through the arteries. It can also detect calcification and deposit plaque inside the arteries. This test is also used as an assessment to patients with stroke and as a follow-up tool for an evaluation of cerebral circulation of patients in the ICU.
    • MIS Spine (Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery)
This is one of the minimally invasive spine surgery done by using surgical microscope for 20-100x magnification. The surgeon will be able to see the nerves and surgical field clearly. This reduces the risk of nerve damage while providing high-quality imaging for surgical decisions. The incision is around 2-3 centimeters and blood loss is minimal.
