
Recently, Dr. Siharach Lohachitranon, the Director of Bangkok Hospital Chiang Mai, announced the launch of the EVOC training program for emergency vehicle and ambulance drivers. This initiative was conducted by the Accident and Emergency Center of Bangkok Hospital Chiang Mai in collaboration with the National Institute for Emergency Medicine and the Skill Development School of SCG Skills Development Co., Ltd.
The training involves drivers of emergency vehicles and ambulances from government, private hospitals, and various rescue foundations in Chiang Mai. The theoretical part is taught in the conference room on the 4th floor of Bangkok Hospital Chiang Mai, and the practical part is conducted at the Chiang Mai 700th Anniversary Sports Complex.
To provide Chiang Mai residents and tourists with safe access to accident and emergency services and to reduce loss of life, Bangkok Hospital Chiang Mai recognizes the importance of properly trained emergency vehicle and ambulance drivers. The hospital promotes the development of skills and knowledge for correct and safe driving, fosters good attitudes, and raises awareness of road safety among staff from government hospitals in Chiang Mai and Mae Hong Son, as well as private hospitals and rescue foundations around Chiang Mai, including Ruamjai Chiang Mai Foundation, Sawang Samret Chiang Mai Foundation, Fahyaad Rescue, the Foundation for the Relics of Doi Suthep, with a total of 45 participants.
