Many people are familiar with diabetes, but prediabetes, which has not yet progressed to diabetes, may be overlooked. Understanding and prevention are crucial, not only to reduce the risk of chronic diabetes but also to help control blood sugar levels and prevent various health-damaging conditions.

There is a correlation between food and your blood group. Each blood group has different biochemistry and all food have lectins (proteins expressed on the surface of red blood cells).

For diabetic patients, the ability to check and control blood glucose level within a safe range – not too low or too high – is essential.

Being overweight or obese significantly increases the chances of developing health-related problems e.g. diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia (high blood lipids), cardiovascular diseases and certain types of cancer. A number of clinical studies have indicated that central obesity (abdominal obesity) is strongly associated with the development of insulin resistance, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. Without appropriate treatment and lifestyle modifications, central obesity can potentially lead to these chronic conditions, resulting in other serious complications and even premature death.
