Wattanosoth Cancer Hospital recently hosted the “STRONG LUNG CLUB: Empowering the Iron Lungs” — an uplifting event designed to inspire hope and promote stronger lung health among our hospital community.
The event began with a warm welcome from Dr. Yuwat Thanangool, Deputy Director of Wattanosoth Cancer Hospital, setting the tone for a day filled with encouragement and inspiration. This was followed by an engaging session titled “Unstoppable Lungs”, where patients who had undergone treatment shared powerful stories of resilience. The session was led by Dr. Padungkiat Tangpiroontham, Thoracic Surgeon at Wattanosoth Cancer Hospital, and featured special appearances by well-known actors Poh – Natthawut Skidjai and Ae – Porntip, who offered personal insights and encouragement.
Another highlight of the event was a talk on “Protecting Your Lungs in a Polluted World” by Dr. Krit Wikan, focusing on practical ways to care for the lungs in today’s environment filled with air pollution and other respiratory risks.
The event concluded with a vibrant art workshop, where participants expressed hope and positivity through painting — creating a warm, supportive atmosphere for everyone involved.
