The Bangkok Hospital Network, led by Wattanosoth Cancer Hospital and its affiliated Bangkok hospitals, has formally partnered with Bangkok Airways to introduce the All Inclusive Cancer Care with PET/CT Scan program. This premium cancer staging and monitoring service is designed to enhance patient confidence and convenience through a fully integrated, seamless care pathway under the concept Complete. Seamless. Trusted.
On the occasion of World Cancer Day, Prof. Dr. Thiravud Khuhaprema, Director of Wattanosoth Cancer Hospital, emphasized the institution’s commitment to expanding equitable and seamless access to cancer treatment. In response to the rising incidence and mortality rates of cancer, the hospital continues to strengthen its capabilities in early detection and advanced treatment. Guided by the philosophy “Care Beyond Cure,” the hospital focuses not only on clinical excellence but also on improving patients’ quality of life.
Central to this initiative is the utilization of PET/CT Scan technology, which enables precise assessment of both anatomical structures and metabolic activity of cancer cells. This advanced diagnostic capability supports accurate staging, detection of metastasis, and evaluation of therapeutic response, thereby facilitating personalized and evidence-based treatment planning while minimizing unnecessary interventions.
Dr. Thianchai Bunnalai, Assistant Director of Wattanosoth Cancer Hospital and Medical Administrative Assistant of the Child’s Health Center at Bangkok Hospital, stated that PET/CT Scan represents a significant advancement in nuclear medicine, supporting Personalized Medicine and Precision Oncology. With over two decades of clinical experience and more than 14,000 PET/CT examinations performed between 2021 and 2025, the hospital’s expertise reflects sustained patient trust in its multidisciplinary proficiency and advanced medical technology.
Dr. Kongkiat Kespechara, Executive Committee of Bangkok Dusit Medical Services Public Company Limited (BDMS) and Chief Executive Officer of Bangkok Hospital Groups 3 and 6, noted that this program integrates the specialized expertise of Wattanosoth Cancer Hospital with affiliated institutions across key regional locations, including Bangkok Hospital Phuket, Bangkok Hospital Samui, and Bangkok Hospital Chiang Mai. Through a coordinated referral system and centralized access to advanced PET/CT technology in Bangkok, the initiative streamlines patient pathways and reinforces the development of a comprehensive Cancer Center of Excellence accessible to patients nationwide.
The program is available from 18 February to 31 December 2026 and includes:
- Specialist consultation before and after diagnostic results
- Preliminary laboratory testing at participating Bangkok Hospital Network facilities
