Causes of Nasopharyngeal Cancer
Infection with the EBV virus (Epstein Barr Virus) is believed to be one cause, along with other factors or dietary behaviors, such as salted fermented foods, pickled foods, certain Chinese herbs, smoking, alcohol consumption, etc. These will stimulate this type of virus to reactivate and cause chronic inflammation (Viral Reactivation). However, in Europe and America, the main risk factors are primarily smoking and alcohol consumption. Another risk factor found is having a family history of cancer.
Symptoms of Nasopharyngeal Cancer

The progression of nasopharyngeal cancer, if caught early, is relatively good. The chance of complete recovery is very high, as in stages 1 and 2, if treated correctly, the chance of recovery is up to 80 – 90%. If it is in stages 3 or 4, the chances of recovery decrease to 50 – 60%.
