In an effort to raise national standards of medical care, the Institute of Hospital Quality Improvement & Accreditation of Thailand adopted an independent system for evaluating private and public hospitals. The key criteria for the accreditation center on a patient-focused approach to healthcare with a commitment to continuous quality improvement both in terms of patient services and clinical practices. Bangkok Hospital was among the first private hospitals to receive this accreditation.
