Mr. Natthapong Khamwongpin, Vice Governor of Udon Thani Province, delivered the opening remarks. Ms. Kanokwan Dungsrikaew, Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Udon Thani Office, discussed the collaboration for the event.
The Director of Royal Life Wellness Center and the Marketing Communications Department of Bangkok Hospital Udon participated in the SCAN THAILAND-PAY LIKE A LOCAL Merchant Activation Roadshow Udon Thani.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Udon Thani Office, in collaboration with the Bank of Thailand, held a consultative meeting to prepare for Chinese tourist spending with local business representatives on February 18, 2026, at the TAT Udon Thani Office meeting room. The meeting reached a consensus to organize the “SCAN THAILAND-PAY LIKE A LOCAL: Merchant Activation Roadshow Udon Thani” to promote and facilitate Chinese tourist spending for entrepreneurs in the tourism and related sectors. Udon Thani was selected as a pilot area to elevate tourism standards with a focus on environmental care and sustainability, which is currently a global priority.
