Dr. Ongart Lertkajornsin, Director of Bangkok Hospital Udon, participated in the worship ceremony at the Udon Thani City Pillar Shrine with deep respect and faith, seeking blessings to support healthcare and sustainably enhance the quality of life for the people of Udon Thani.
“Participating in the commemorative ceremony marking the 27th anniversary of the opening of the Udon Thani City Pillar Shrine,
with Mr. Ratchan Sunhua, Governor of Udon Thani Province, presiding over the event.
The ceremony included a report by Mr. Wirote Pipatchaisiri, President of the Foundation for the Preservation of the Udon Thani City Pillar Shrine, along with senior government officials, representatives from public and private sectors, organizational leaders, associations, clubs, business leaders, and citizens from Udon Thani and nearby areas.
The Foundation’s committee organized the worship and traditional dance rituals to pay respect to the sacred city landmark, preserving the valued traditions of the Udon Thani community for future generations.

Since His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua, while holding the title of Crown Prince, represented His Majesty King Rama IX in presiding over the opening of the Udon Thani City Pillar Shrine on 29 January 1999, this auspicious date has been commemorated annually.
This year marks the 27th anniversary of the City Pillar Shrine opening.
The annual commemorative and celebratory event aims to honor the Udon Thani City Pillar Shrine, the sacred symbol of the city, and to preserve local cultural traditions, bringing blessings, harmony, prosperity, and success to the community.
The event also reflects unity and cooperation among government agencies, private sectors, and the public. This year additionally marked the official opening of the office building of the Foundation for the Preservation of the Udon Thani City Pillar Shrine, funded through floral offerings and donations from devoted supporters.
