Bangkok Hospital Trat Achieves BDMS Green Healthcare Gold Award 2023
Moving towards becoming a “Net Zero Organization” by 2050
Bangkok Hospital Trat has been awarded the BDMS Green Healthcare Gold Award 2023 in recognition of its concrete and sustainable environmental initiatives. This achievement serves as a model project supporting BDMS network hospitals in progressing toward becoming net zero carbon emission organizations by 2050.
Under its strategy to become a Sustainable Healthcare Organization, the hospital implements energy and environmental management in accordance with LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), an internationally recognized standard for green buildings and energy conservation.
- In 2023, a total of 18 hospitals within the BDMS network participated in the BDMS Green Healthcare program.
- The initiative significantly reduced electricity consumption and water usage.
- Importantly, it reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 1,815 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO₂e).
