He serves as the Director of the Phuket Cancer Institute (PCI) and Medical Director of the Bangkok-Phuket Colorectal Disease Institute, a recognized Center of Excellence.

His influence extends internationally through his governance with premier surgical institutions. Professor Hiranyakas holds the distinguished position of Governor-at-Large for the American College of Surgeons (ACS) in Chicago and serves as a Board Governor of the International College of Surgeons (ICS). He further contributes as President of the ACS Thailand Chapter and has been recently appointed Assistant Federation Secretary for the ICS Pacific Federation. His expertise is credentialed through fellowships with the world’s most respected surgical societies, including the ACS, the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons (ASCRS), the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES), the International Society of University Colon and Rectal Surgeons (ISUCRS), and the ICS.

Following his board certification in General Surgery in 2002,he was appointed Instructor of Surgery at Prince of Songkla University. His academic trajectory includes a Doctor of Philosophy from James Cook University, Australia, and a professorial appointment at the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology.

He serves as a reviewer for high-impact journals in his field and is a sought-after lecturer, having delivered hundreds of invited lectures across six continents.

His commitment to advancing global surgical knowledge is evidenced by his founding and leadership of the biennial International Colorectal Disease Symposium in Thailand since 2013. In recognition of his professional excellence, he was honored with the “Outstanding Professional Qualities” award at the 2015 ICS Jubilee World Congress, Prague, Czech Republic.
