Erectile Dysfunction Shockwave Therapy (EDSWT): Intensive Shockwave Technique

Erectile dysfunction is a common problem in men over 40 years of age. The problem becomes more severe with increasing age and is now found in in an increasing number of males and at younger ages. Erectile dysfunction can also be a sign of a health problem and a warning sign of an underlying disorder that may be caused by vasculopathy, such as coronary artery disease and stroke due to decreased blood flow to the penis.

    Shockwave for Erectile Dysfunction (ED)

It is the latest technology using Shockwave Therapy for treating erectile dysfunction caused by decreased blood flow to the penis during intercourse. The technique involves the use of Low-Intensity Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (LI-ESWT) to stimulate the patient’s penis, resulting in angiogenesis in the penis from the original blood vessels. Once better functions of vessels in the penis are achieved, erection and enlargement of the penis become more effective. It is therefore a new, safe alternative for erectile dysfunction treatment free from side effects of medications.

This treatment is effective in people with mild to moderate and severe erectile dysfunction. After Shockwave Therapy, the patient can reduce the medication and stop the medication. The success rate is 70-85%.

The treatment session takes about 30 minutes. The patient will feel a gentle impact on the genital area during the treatment without pain. The results and changes are usually visible 7 days after the treatment with improved erection. In addition, the sexual function will gradually be restored after completing the scheduled treatment sessions.

Advantages of Erectile Dysfunction Shockwave Therapy (EDSWT)

    • Restore sexual function
    • No surgery required
    • No recovery period required
    • No pain and no side effects
