What is the 4-strain HPV vaccine?
This vaccine helps protect against high-risk strains of the human papillomavirus (HPV) that are known to cause cervical cancer—most notably types 16 and 18. It also provides protection against types 6 and 11, which are associated with genital warts, a form of sexually transmitted infection. Overall, the vaccine can reduce the risk of developing cervical cancer, genital warts, and anal cancer by up to 70%.
