Stuffy Nose?
In today’s society, breathing problems have been increasing rapidly because industrial development results directly in producing air pollution and your contacting allergens when breathing.
Nasal obstruction can be caused by a variety of factors such as a deviated nose, deviated nasal septum, congenital deformity or from an accident, nasal allergy, or combination of many factors. An obstructed nose may result in breathing problems that require medical or surgical treatment.

In the past, nasal obstruction treatment was limited to the use of medication only. This meant that patients had to take many tablets everyday for the rest of their lives. On the other hand, advances in technology provides an operative solution which is more effective so that patients can stop using medication.
For patients who are of an allergic nature, getting old, or do not want to use medication, they now have another alternative, which is to choose an operation. Operation can be performed in many ways depending on each individual’s pathology. The Specialist will normally begin with general physical examination and sinuscope. CT scan may also be required in some chronic cases or deviated nasal septum cases for the best treatment plan possible.
Alternatively, if patients would also like to receive cosmetic correction of their nose at the same time, these two operations can be done together. The ENT specialist coordinates with the plastic surgeon in performing this to reduce the risk of many anesthetics. The length of hospitalization is shortened and receipts can be separated to facilitate reimbursement for the patients.
