What is NanoKnife® (IRE) ?
IRE (Irreversible Electroporation) destroys cancer cells using high-voltage electrical pulses that create permanent pores in the cell membrane – causing cells to die without the use of heat or cold. Electrode needles are inserted through the perineum, guided by ultrasound and MRI planning for high precision.

Who May Not Be Suitable for NanoKnife®?
- Patients with a pacemaker or implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) that cannot be safely managed during the procedure
- Those with an active infection or who are unable to undergo general anesthesia
- Those with advanced, metastatic, or high-risk prostate cancer involving multiple areas of the prostate.
