INSTRUCTIONS FOR PREPARING FOR YOUR HEALTH CHECK-UP
- Please ensure that you have at least 6 hours of sleep before your check-up.
Lack of sleep may cause abnormal results such as elevated blood pressure, increased heart rate, or higher body temperature, which may affect the accuracy of your evaluation. - Please refrain from eating or drinking (except plain water) for 8 hours before your check-up to ensure accurate test results.
- Please avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours prior to your appointment, as alcohol can affect many test results. If you have consumed alcohol, please inform the nurse during your visit.
- Medications for high blood pressure may be taken as usual with a small amount of plain water.
- If you have any chronic illnesses or existing health conditions, please bring all relevant test results or medical reports so that the doctor can evaluate you accurately.
Ultrasound and Female-Specific Instructions
- For whole-abdomen ultrasound:
Please drink plenty of water and do not empty your bladder before the examination. - For female patients:
Please schedule your check-up at least 7 days before or after your menstrual period. If you are menstruating, your urine test may be affected by blood contamination. - Breast cancer screening (mammogram and ultrasound):
This should not be performed during your menstrual period, as breast tissue may be congested and the results less accurate. - If you are pregnant or suspect you might be pregnant, please inform our staff immediately so we can cancel all x-ray–related tests.
