Cardiac Function Test During Exercise (Exercise Stress Test)

This is a test of cardiac function by having the patient exercise on a treadmill to test whether, when the heart works harder and the heart muscle requires more oxygen from the blood, there is a condition of heart ischemia. This is observed from changes in the ECG, symptoms of chest pain or fatigue, as well as changes in blood pressure levels.
