Beating-heart bypass surgery… a technique that doesn’t stop the heart… lower risk, faster recovery

At present, the cardiac surgery team at Bangkok Hospital Hat Yai has developed coronary artery bypass surgery using a beating-heart technique and without using a heart-lung machine for patients with coronary artery stenosis who require surgery. This reduces complications from the heart-lung machine, lowers the chance of paresis and paralysis, and enables faster recovery because the surgery is performed while the heart continues beating.
