  • Food Intolerance Test (232 Food Items)

Food Intolerance Test is designed to help detect any hidden food sensitivities by Immunoglobulin G4 to 232 everyday food items that are the causes of many debilitating symptoms. In contrast to other types of allergy, food intolerance’s symptoms are often delayed and may take several days to manifest.  Repetitive ingestion of particular food items that the body’s immune system could not recognize leads to formation of toxic substances that stimulate many unwanted symptoms such as:

  • Migraine, chronic headaches

  • Frequent upper respiratory tract infections

  • Chronic acne

  • Indigestion, gas after eating

  • Constipation, diarrhea or IBS

  • Muscle and joint pain

  • Skin rash, urticaria, allergy

  • Fatigue

  • Mood swings

  • Weight gain

  • Attention deficits

  • Autoimmune diseases such as SLE, Rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn’s disease.

  • NK Cell Activity

NK cells or Natural Killer Cells are white blood cells that help guard the body from viruses and tumor cells. Therefore, the function of your NK cells determines how good your immune function is

Poor NK cell activity reflects impaired immune function. Common causes of poor NK cell activity are:

  • Cancer

  • Family history of cancer

  • Imbalanced lifestyle e.g Heavy cigarette smoking, sleep deprivation, high stress, obesity

  • Poor nutrition e.g Insufficient intake of fruits and vegetables, low protein intake etc.

  • Specific medications e.g immunosuppressive agents, chemotherapy drugs

  • Post-surgery

High NK cell activity reflects a good immune system. However, if the level is abnormally high, one must suspect the presence of infection or autoimmune diseases such as SLE or Rheumatoid arthritis.

  • Telomere length

Telomeres are specific regions at the end of our chromosomes or ‘genetic blueprint’ that determines your degenerative status. The ‘longer’ your telomere length, the ‘slower’ the aging process and the ‘lower’ the risk of developing many debilitating diseases.

According to the 2009 Nobel-winning theory, cells with long telomere lengths have longer life expectancy than cells with short telomere length.  Studies have shown that individuals with short telomere lengths have a higher chance of developing life-threatening diseases than individuals with normal or long telomere length. With advances in medical technology, telomere length can now be measured from your blood sample. Once your telomere length is determined, personalized preventative protocol will be advised by our doctors to help delay degenerative and aging process.

  • Adiponectin

Adiponectin is a hormone that is produced and excreted exclusively by adipocytes or fat cells in our body. It is often referred to as the ‘fat cell hormone’. Adiponectin increases the use of fats for fuel and enhance insulin sensitivity in tissues such as liver and muscles.  This facilitates blood sugar transport into our cells and helps prevent high blood sugar. Low levels of adiponectin are found in individuals who are overweight or obese. Moreover, decreased adiponectin levels have also been associated with insulin resistance, type-2 diabetes mellitus and coronary artery diseases. The most influential form of adiponectin is called High Molecular Weight Multimer (HMW). HMV can now be conveniently measured from the blood. The information provided will be used to design a customized weight loss program for each individual in order to achieve the best treatment outcome.
