On 23 June 2026, the Pediatric Department of Bangkok Hospital Chiang Rai conducted an academic study visit to Samitivej Srinakarin Hospital and Samitivej International Children’s Hospital in Bangkok. The delegation was led by Dr. Orasuda Somprasit, Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrician, and Dr. Nahathai Sriwattanawong, Pediatrician, together with the pediatric multidisciplinary team.
The visit aimed to exchange clinical knowledge and professional experience in pediatric healthcare, while gaining insights into service management and quality improvement practices implemented at one of Thailand’s leading pediatric healthcare institutions.
During the visit, the team attended presentations covering pediatric outpatient (OPD) and inpatient (IPD) services, as well as various pediatric subspecialty services. They also toured several key departments, including the Pediatric Emergency Department (Pediatric ER), Pediatric Outpatient Clinic, Child Development and Learning Center, Pediatric Critical Care Unit (PICU), and Pediatric Inpatient Ward.
This educational visit provided valuable opportunities to explore best practices in comprehensive pediatric care, strengthen academic collaboration between institutions, and identify innovative approaches to further enhance pediatric services at Bangkok Hospital Chiang Rai.
