For more than 10 years, our dedicated International Medical Services team has supported beneficiaries of the TRICARE Overseas Program and the VA Foreign Medical Program.
We are pleased to announce that Bangkok Hospital Chiang Mai is now a TRICARE Overseas Program Network Provider, offering eligible beneficiaries convenient access to coordinated healthcare services in Northern Thailand.
TRICARE Overseas Program
Eligible active-duty service members, military retirees, family members, and other TRICARE beneficiaries can access a comprehensive range of medical services at Bangkok Hospital Chiang Mai, including:
- Outpatient consultations and specialist care
- Inpatient treatment and hospitalization
- Emergency medical services
- Diagnostic examinations and medical imaging
- Surgical procedures
- Rehabilitation and follow-up care
As a TRICARE Overseas Program Network Provider, our dedicated team can assist with:
- TRICARE eligibility and benefit verification
- Referral and prior-authorization coordination
- Communication with International SOS
- Appointment arrangements
- Medical and financial consultation
- Direct billing and claims documentation for eligible and authorized services
- Coordination of outpatient and inpatient care
Other TRICARE beneficiaries may be responsible for applicable deductibles, copayments, cost-shares, or non-covered services, depending on their individual plan and eligibility.
VA Foreign Medical Program (FMP)
The VA Foreign Medical Program (FMP) may provide healthcare coverage for eligible U.S. veterans receiving medically necessary treatment outside the United States.
FMP coverage generally applies to:
- VA-rated service-connected disabilities
- Conditions associated with or aggravating a service-connected disability
- Other medical conditions or services specifically approved by the VA
Veterans are requested to present their current FMP Benefits Letter or VA approval letter, identification, and relevant medical records before receiving planned treatment.
For eligible and approved FMP cases, our team can assist with appointment coordination, medical and financial consultation, preparation of supporting documents, claims submission, and direct billing coordination. Direct billing for hospital charges exceeding THB 5,000 is subject to eligibility verification and VA approval.

- Eligible and authorized TRICARE beneficiaries may receive direct billing services.
- FMP beneficiaries may receive treatment for approved service-connected conditions.
