Recently, the Center of Excellence for Brain and Nervous System organized the World Stroke Day or World Stroke Day 2023 under the theme Be Greater Than Stroke at the Activity Hall, 1st Floor, Bangkok Hospital Chiang Mai.
The “Spooky Stroke” event was organized with a Halloween theme to provide education and prevention of strokes, which is the third leading cause of death after cancer and heart disease, led by Dr. Kanokwan Watcharasaksilp, neurologist. Additionally, there was an activity to assess the risk of stroke, raise awareness about the warning signs of stroke known as BEFAST, and introduce the neuro-health check-up program, aiming to inform Chiang Mai residents about stroke prevention strategies by adjusting lifestyle, diet, exercise.
