On the occasion of the 3rd anniversary of the founding of Bangkok Hospital Chiang Mai, Bangkok Hospital Chiang Mai, together with the Vejdusit Foundation under the Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana, Princess of Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra, and Bangkok Dusit Medical Services Public Company Limited, known as BDMS, organized the first volunteer activity “Living for others” at Ban Mae Yang Ha School, Samoeng District, Chiang Mai Province, on September 8, 2017. The event was led by Major General Dr. Niwat Boonyuen, Deputy President of Group Executive Committee 4 and Director of Bangkok Hospital Chiang Mai, Assoc. Prof. Atchima Setabut, Board Member and Secretary of the Vejdusit Foundation, Dr. Duangjai Sinsungsang (SVP Corporate HR) of Bangkok Dusit Medical Services Public Company Limited, with executives and staff from Bangkok Hospital Chiang Mai and affiliates.

Upon surveying schools that were still lacking and in need of assistance, it was found that Ban Mae Yang Ha School was selected. Bangkok Hospital Chiang Mai, together with the Vejdusit Foundation, supported the renovation of the medical room, as well as provided equipment for use in the medical room and necessary medical supplies for the school. In addition, sports kits for 240 students were provided by Bangkok Dusit Medical Services Public Company Limited (BDMS), along with donations from BDMS affiliates and Bangkok Hospital Chiang Mai staff, including basic medicines, wound care equipment, teaching materials, stationery, essential daily life items, and a lunch for the students.
