Bangkok Hospital cares for the elderly by preventing slips and falls and joins the campaign urging children and grandchildren to be cautious on this Elderly Day, April 13th, by organizing the “Don’t Let the Elderly Fall and Can’t Get Up” event
According to statistics, it is estimated that in 2021, Thailand will become a Complete Aged Society. It is found that the elderly population in Thailand still faces health problems due to chronic diseases, and some are unable to take care of themselves, such as eating, using the restroom, and dressing. Up to 5% of these elderly individuals inevitably become a burden to their close acquaintances. Common problems among the elderly who have accidents at home include hip fractures and brain injuries, which causes high rates of disability and mortality.
