Be Yourself Unit and the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Unit of the Bangkok Mental Health Rehabilitation and Recovery Center (BMRC), Bangkok Hospital, led a team of doctors to organize the activity “Hi School Health: Life – Learn – Love – Sex” for the first time on August 26th, 2025, at Debsirin School.
This initiative was designed to create a safe and inclusive space for high school students to explore and understand essential aspects of life, learning, relationships, and sexuality in a thoughtful, constructive, and welcoming manner. The program aims to empower students to take appropriate care of their mental and sexual health and to seek help confidently when needed during their school years.
The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Somkiat Chantasoon, Assistant Director of Special Activities at Debsirin School, who delivered the opening remarks. Dr. Apisamai Srirangsan, Director of the Bangkok Mental Health Rehabilitation and Recovery Center, along with a team of BMRC doctors, served as guest speakers, providing knowledge and insights across four key topics:
- LIFE: Identity exploration, self-image, and self-acceptance – by Dr. Manissara Ketekaew
- LEARN: Learning skills and addressing ADHD in school-aged children – by Dr. Patteera Disayawanwat
- LOVE: Sexual orientation, relationships, and attraction among adolescents – by Dr. Anothai Soonsawat
- SEX: Dimensions of human sexuality, LGBTQ+ issues, and safer sexual practices – by Dr. Bentawich Surasartpisal
The interactive session also included an open Q&A, allowing students to ask any questions they had about these topics in a safe and supportive environment.
