Dr. Methinee Maipang, President of Group Executive Board 1 and Director of Bangkok Hospital, was honored to be a keynote speaker at the discussion forum in the Global Innovation Forum 2025 organized by the National Innovation Agency (Public Organization) or NIA under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) under the topic “Global Health Tech towards Innovation Nation…Thai Health Tech Looks Beyond Health”, with Dr..Kritchpakka Boonfueang, Director of the National Innovation Agency (Public Organization) or NIA, as the chairman of the event.
In the discussion forum “Opportunities and Challenges of Global Health Tech Innovation Business”, Dr. Methinee Maipang shared her views with Prof..Dr..Nophadon.Sirichawana, Director of Siriraj Hospital, and Mr. Thanakrit Prasitthapaporn, representative of the Thai Health Tech Trade Association, highlighting the current overview of the health tech industry and its future direction.
Dr. Methinee stated,
“Thailand has the potential to become a key player in the global health tech market by advancing Digital Healthcare to enhance treatment quality and establish internationally recognized standards. Meanwhile, there are challenges such as complex regulations, shortages of medical, engineering, and technological specialists, as well as limitations in data access and treatment outcomes. It is essential to collect measurable treatment statistics and to widely utilize medical innovations, requiring collaboration between universities, the private sector, and the government to create an ecosystem conducive to sustainable growth of the Thai health tech industry”
