Guidelines for the simultaneous treatment of gallstones and bile duct stones

Dr. Niwat Intarawichian Deputy Director of Bangkok Hospital participated in the GROUP INTERVIEW “Guidelines for treating gallstones and bile duct stones in one session using endoscopic technology (ERCP) and laparoscopic surgery with small incisions (LC)” to reduce the risk and number of general anesthesia applications, shorten recovery time, enable faster return to normal life, and reduce hospital stay duration, as well as help reduce medical costs. Col. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thun Ingkakul, a surgeon specializing in liver, pancreas, and bile duct laparoscopic surgery from the Surgery Center, and Dr. Aroon Siripun, a therapeutic endoscopy specialist at the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Center, joined in providing information to the press. They demonstrated diagnostic and treatment tools for treating gallstones and bile duct stones and advised on disease prevention by maintaining good health. Patients should reduce consumption of fried and fatty foods and focus on eating more vegetables and fish.
