This is done by a rehabilitation medicine team, physical therapists, and occupational therapists who assess and design personalized rehabilitation programs, such as exercises to improve the endurance of the respiratory, cardiovascular system, or flexibility of specific muscle groups, pain reduction programs, and other rehabilitation programs tailored to the physical impairment problems encountered.
