Bangkok Hospital Headquarters organized the special program “Bangkok Hospital New Gen Doctors Workshop 2025” with the objective of inspiring and preparing youth for a future in the medical profession. Under the concept “Explore. Experience. Become a Doctor” the initiative provided upper secondary school students (Grades 10–12) with the opportunity to gain authentic experiences and cultivate aspirations toward a medical career.
Dr. Ekkit Surakarn, Deputy Director of Bangkok Hospital, emphasized the purpose of the initiative, stating
Bangkok Hospital is dedicated to supporting the education and development of Thai youth, equipping them with the knowledge and readiness to become future healthcare professionals. This workshop not only enables students to discover their interests and capabilities but also provides an invaluable opportunity to acquire fundamental medical skills through hands-on practice, serving as a source of inspiration for confidently pursuing a medical career.”
The workshop encompassed practical training across a wide range of essential medical competencies, including:
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS): Fundamental life-saving techniques
- Wound Dressing: Principles of wound care
- First Aid: Bandaging, splinting, and bleeding control
- ICU Care: Pulse assessment, lung auscultation, and manual ventilation with an Ambu bag
- Operating Room Workshop: Basic suturing techniques
The program was conducted in two sessions, on Saturday, September 20, 2025 and Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the 7R Conference Room, 7th Floor, Rehabilitation Building, and the BDMS Simulation Center, Bangkok Hospital Headquarters. With the support of advanced medical training facilities, the workshop offered students immersive, practice-based learning experiences, while deepening their understanding of the roles and responsibilities of healthcare professionals.
