    Updated on: 20 Aug 2026

Bangkok Hospital Headquarters is entering a new era of gastrointestinal (GI) and liver care with the transformation of its Advanced GI and Liver Center under the concept “Beyond Future – Advanced GI Care and Endoscopy.” Spanning more than 2,800 sq.m., the newly transformed center integrates advanced medical technology, specialized expertise and multidisciplinary care to provide comprehensive, patient-centered services from prevention and diagnosis to treatment and rehabilitation.

Dr. Matinee Maipang, Chief Executive Officer of Bangkok Hospital – Group 1, said Bangkok Hospital Headquarters continues to advance medical excellence through healthcare transformation across every dimension. In 2026, the hospital is strengthening value-based healthcare, supported by ICHOM-certified outcomes, advanced medical innovation, its vision to become an Asia-Pacific Medical Robot Hub, digital healthcare access, employee well-being, and its commitment to social and environmental responsibility toward Net Zero 2050.

Dr. Boonthida Jaroensawat, Director of Bangkok Hospital, said the hospital is committed to delivering holistic, patient-centered care across the full continuum—from prevention and diagnosis to treatment and rehabilitation. The Bangkok Advanced GI and Liver Center has successfully performed more than 700 cases successful Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) Procedures, 600 Cases high success rate in Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) and over 54,000 gastroscopy and colonoscopy procedures, with complication rate of less than 1% from gastrointestinal endoscopic procedure (stats since 2021-2025).

Spanning more than 2,800 sq.m., the newly transformed Bangkok Advanced GI and Liver Center has been thoughtfully designed around the patient journey, integrating clinical functionality, advanced endoscopy technology, privacy and patient comfort to create a seamless and efficient care experience. The center features 15 examination rooms, an Advanced Endoscopy Suite, Liver Liver Flex Scan, 13C-Urea Breath Test, ultrasound, GI Motility Lab, nine recovery rooms and exclusive private rooms, with each area carefully planned to ensure smooth workflow while preserving patient dignity and confidentiality—from arrival and consultation through examination, treatment and recovery.

A multidisciplinary team of gastroenterologists, surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses and healthcare professionals works collaboratively to develop personalized treatment plans and deliver the best possible outcomes. By bringing together clinical excellence, advanced technology and patient-centered care, the center aims to provide a seamless and compassionate experience while advancing Bangkok Hospital’s vision for the Advanced GI and Liver Center to become a Center of Excellence in Southeast Asia.

Dr. Jaturong Amornrattanakosol, Director of the Bangkok Advanced GI and Liver Center, highlighted the growing prevalence of gastrointestinal and liver diseases, driven in part by changing lifestyles and dietary habits. He emphasized that digestive health begins with everyday choices, particularly healthy nutrition, alongside timely diagnosis, advanced treatment and preventive healthcare.

The event also featured special guests Chris Horwang and Chef In – Narongrit Saekho from Kamlang-In Channel, who shared practical insights on “Food for Gut & Liver” followed by a healthy cooking session. In collaboration with Imm by BDMS, the center will also offer specially curated healthy meals designed to support digestive health, developed by nutritionists and chefs using quality ingredients. The meals will be available at the Advanced GI and Liver Center from 24–28 August 2026.
