Bangkok Hospital Headquarters organizes the “BDMS Advanced Robotic Surgery Conference 2025,” elevating the surgical standards with the Da Vinci Xi robot-assisted surgery. They are also fulfilling the dreams of the youth towards a future in surgery with the activity “Meet the Robot: Robotic Surgery Junior Camp,” held for the first time in Thailand from May 31 to June 1, 2025.
The “BDMS Advanced Robotic Surgery Conference 2025” was honored by the presence of Dr. Methinee Maipang, Chairman of Executive Committee Group 1 and Director of Bangkok Hospital, who gave the opening address. The event was attended by more than 120 surgeons and medical personnel from leading hospitals across the country to exchange knowledge and enhance skills in the precise, safe, and modern Da Vinci Xi robot-assisted surgery. They also shared successes and experiences in using the robot to treat up to 600 cases, aiming to provide the best treatment and promote a good quality of life for patients.
Continuing the success of Da Vinci Xi robot-assisted surgery to “Meet the Robot: Robotic Surgery Junior Camp,” a camp to inspire youth towards becoming surgeons, is being held for the first time in Thailand. Over 120 Thai and international high school students showed interest in applying for the program to gain real-life experience through a Hands-On Workshop using the Da Vinci Xi robot-assisted surgery and develop key skills, such as simulating surgeries with the robot, suturing and tying knots with the robot, port placement and camera tool handling, as well as participating in the “One Knot Challenge.” There were discussions and advice given by real surgeons, all amid a warm atmosphere.
