The Bangkok Hospital Dental Center, in collaboration with Straumann Group, a global leader in implant dentistry headquartered in Switzerland, has officially launched the Straumann Center of Dental Education (CoDE) at Bangkok Hospital. The center has been appointed as Thailand’s first Straumann CoDE and the 60th worldwide, becoming part of Straumann’s global network of dental education centers.
The collaboration aims to advance clinical education and professional development in implant dentistry, providing opportunities for dental professionals to enhance their clinical skills and translate advanced knowledge and technologies into real-world patient care.
Mr.Markus Kaufmann, Vice President, Head of Global Medical Education, Straumann Group, said that Straumann places strong emphasis on education and the continuous development of clinicians as an essential foundation for advancing standards of dental care. The Straumann Center of Dental Education (CoDE) is built around two core commitments: supporting the highest standards of patient care while providing a platform where dental professionals can learn from real-world clinical experience through training programs, seminars, and academic activities.
“With the establishment of the CoDE at the Bangkok Hospital Dental Center, we are creating an important platform to connect Thai dental professionals with Straumann’s global education network. The center will provide opportunities for knowledge exchange and clinical collaboration between Thailand and the international dental community, while supporting the continuous development of clinical knowledge and skills.”
Dr. Boonthida Jaroensawat, Director of Bangkok Hospital, said that Bangkok Hospital is committed to developing Centers of Excellence across multiple medical specialties, supported by highly skilled medical professionals, advanced technologies and innovation, as well as facilities designed to support both patient care and professional education.
“The appointment of Bangkok Hospital Dental Center as Thailand’s first Straumann Center of Dental Education and the 60th worldwide reflects the strength of our clinical expertise and our readiness to serve as a platform for dental education and knowledge exchange at the regional level. We look forward to connecting clinical expertise from Thailand with the international dental community and translating knowledge and innovation into better treatment outcomes for our patients.”
Looking ahead to 2027, Dr. Valailuck Kiatthanakorn, Senior Director of the Bangkok Hospital Dental Center, said the center will introduce two advanced educational programs for dentists seeking to enhance their expertise in digital implant dentistry. The programs will combine Live Surgery and Hands-on Training, enabling participants to connect theoretical knowledge with practical clinical experience.
The two programs include:
- Digital Pro Arch Workflow Course
A comprehensive program covering the fully digital fixed full-arch workflow, from data acquisition and treatment planning through to final restoration. The course is designed to enhance clinicians’ understanding and practical application of digital workflows in full-arch rehabilitation. - Single Anterior Course
A comprehensive program focusing on the digital single-anterior implant workflow, covering the treatment journey from digital planning and guided implant placement to immediate temporization and final restoration. The course aims to support clinicians in delivering efficient, predictable, and esthetically optimized outcomes through an integrated digital workflow.
