In the month of World Cancer Day, Bangkok Dusit Medical Services Public Company Limited (PLC) or BDMS, together with AstraZeneca (Thailand) Company Limited, signed a cooperation agreement under the project “Collaboration towards excellence in lung cancer” to introduce modern technology, or Artificial Intelligence (AI), to diagnose and treat lung cancer, starting at the Bangkok Cancer Hospital Watthanasoth, and join the campaign Close the care gap of the World Health Organization (WHO) to close the gap and enhance potential to reduce lung cancer mortality, highlighting its status as the Center of Excellence – Cancer in the Asia Pacific.
The event was attended by Dr..Methinee Haipang, Chairman of the Executive Board, Group 1, Managing Director of Bangkok Hospital, Mr. Roman Ramos, President of AstraZeneca (Thailand) Company Limited , accompanied by Prof..Dr. Theerawut Khuapramha , Managing Director of Bangkok Cancer Hospital Watthanasoth, Dr..Phadungkiat Tangpiriyatham , Thoracic Surgeon, and Ms. Eve–Putthithida Sirachaya, discussing the overall picture of cancer in Thailand, the risks, and sharing experiences in health care to stay away from lung cancer.
