Bangkok Cancer Hospital Wattanosoth and Bangkok Hospital Send Doctors to Teach and Proctor Surgeries with the da Vinci Xi Surgical Robot at Police General Hospital
Dr. Padungkiat Tangpiroontham, a thoracic surgeon at Bangkok Cancer Hospital Wattanosoth and an expert in robotic-assisted surgery with the “da Vinci Xi,” participated in teaching and proctoring surgeries for the surgical team at Police General Hospital. This included surgeries for two patients with thymus tumors and one patient with lung cancer. The aim was to enhance the skills of the surgical team and medical staff at Police General Hospital, ensuring proficiency in robotic-assisted surgery to the standard, based on Dr. Padungkiat’s experience of over 100 thoracic surgeries with the da Vinci Xi robotic system.
