Bangkok Gezondheids Promotie Centrum

  • een rijbewijs;
  • het afsluiten van een verzekering;
  • verkrijgen van een werkvergunning of visum;
  • toelating tot een bepaalde universiteit;
  • mensen die een PADI diploma (duikers dimploma) willen behalen;
  • off-shore bedrijfs keuring;

Kay").

Help GGT

Gamma Glutamyl Transferase
(GGT or GGTP, or Gamma-GT) (EC 2.3.2.2) is a liver enzyme. Its level in the blood may be tested for, as an elevated level may indicate an abnormality in the liver, though this can be caused by a number of conditions including: * congestive heart failure* cholestasis (congestion of the bile ducts)* cirrhosis of the liver* Restricted blood flow to the liver* Necrosis of the liver* Liver tumors* hepatitis* hepatotoxic drugs

Help Creatinine

A blood and urinary chemical that is used to estimate overall kidney function. It is produced by the muscles at a regular, predictable rate and excreted by the kidneys through simple filtration. If the blood creatinine level becomes too high, it often means that not enough blood is being filtered by the kidneys.

Help Cholesterol

is a substance both made by the body and consumed in food products that come from animals. Primarily, it travels in the blood as two compounds: low-density lipoproteins (LDL) and high-density lipoproteins (HDL). In practice, HDL is often called the good cholesterol and LDL is called the bad cholesterol. The reason for this is that HDLs help transport cholesterol in the body to the liver, where the body then prepares to excrete it.
Help Help Help Help
Help Triglyceride

the main form of fat in the blood; determining levels of triglyceride is useful in diagnosing and treating diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease
Help Help Help Help
Help HDL

High Density Lipoproteins.
Lipoproteins that contain a small amount of cholesterol and carry cholesterol away from body cells and tissues to the liver for excretion from the body. Low level HDL increases the risk of heart disease, so the higher the HDL level, the better. The HDL component normally contains 20 to 30 percent of total cholesterol, and HDL levels are inversely correlated with coronary heart disease risk.

Help LDL

Low-density lipoprotein.
Referred to as the bad cholesterol because it tends to accumulate on the artery walls, eventually leading to atherosclerosis. Eating too much saturated fat and/or trans fats can elevate LDL blood cholesterol levels.
