Bangkok Golf- en Gezondheids Centrum
It is generally assumed that golf is a sport that results in minimal injury. However, a relatively unknown fact is that approximately two-thirds of all golfers sustain injuries while playing golf. Amateur golfers primarily experience problems of the back and elbow (35% and 33% respectively) while professional golfers mainly sustain back and wrist injuries (24% and 23% respectively). Such injuries often cause anxiety for the golf enthusiast, sometimes hindering the ability to play a successful game of golf.
The major causes of injury are usually a result of :
- overexertion of a specific body part
- inadequate physical fitness
