Marianne's Baby
I always sat down to deliver – after the baby’s arrival, it can get messy. There is a great gush of amniotic fluid that can soak your clothes. Marianne had had a good pregnancy and labor, and the baby came out with minimal help. He arrived on my lap facedown, as is normal, and I patted his back to encourage breathing to start.
