What is Travel Medicine?

As international travel has grown exponentially over the past few decades, the field of Travel Medicine was created as a unique multidisciplinary specialty. It involves several medical practices working in conjunction, including preventive and curative medicine, tropical medicine, infectious disease, and internal medicine, with the primary goal of diagnosing and treating travel-related disease as well as promoting safe and healthy travel.
