As the date of my departure for home to Hawaii
nears, I feel that I must once again thank all of my ‘family' at the Bangkok Hospital for the excellent care that I
received and experienced during my stay there. I use the term ‘family' because
I truly felt that each and every person that I came into contact with made me
feel as though I was a member of their family - close or distant. Regardless,
the feeling was there from the porters, cleaning ladies, tray people, aides,
the very caring nurses, therapists and of course the wonderful doctors and your
patient relations staff.
It was amazing to me that the worse pain I ever endured was
due to knotted tight muscles under my legs and hips. In my mind I had always
thought that any surgery to hip or leg bones came with much pain. Instead, my
greatest problem was the weakness in being able to use my right leg and gaining
the confidence to do so. Perhaps trying to achieve this a little too soon set
me back a bit - as the medical staff pointed out to me how this could happen -
they were with me each step of the way - explaining the ‘why's and wherefores'
of everything I tried to do. I believe that knowing they were with me, gave me
all the confidence that I was lacking and the daily buildup finally reached the
point where I could have the nestling comfort of the Hospital. My physical
therapists were so patient with me as were my doctors as they evaluated my
daily progress.
As I conclude my thank you for the great care that I
experienced personally, you may be sure that my friends and family worldwide
will hear about the great Bangkok
Hospital.
